Job Title: CCHI Policy Director

POSITION SUMMARY: CCHI is a collaborative organization representing Community and Children’s Health Initiative (CHI) coalitions from 25 counties across California and other outreach and enrollment organizations. CCHI’s mission is to improve the health and well-being of California children and families by supporting its members in meeting the needs of their communities.
The Policy Director is responsible for policy analysis and management of all of CCHI’s policy work and advocacy work. This is a leadership position within the organization and the Policy Director leads on setting the policy direction for the organization with guidance from the Executive Director.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: BA/BS degree required, advance degree preferred.
Experience: Five years experience in policy arena in California. Experience with legislation, health policy and budget advocacy required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
California Coverage & Health Initiatives (CCHI) is a project of the Tides Center. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
(CCHI) is a statewide outreach and enrollment network, whose efforts ensure that all California’s families are able to easily and effectively navigate into health coverage and other health services. The association includes local Children’s/Community Health Initiatives (CHIs) and outreach and enrollment organizations in 54 counties across California, representing where 95% of the state’s population resides.

Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 yearly. Based on Experience.
